BOILERS
Boilers come in many forms. The most common on the domestic market being the 'Heat Only' and 'Combination Boilers' (Combi Boilers). They provide us with heating and hot water and whereas before an old boiler would have to be adjusted to suit seasonal change, newer boilers now take care of that thus removing the need to make regular observations.
All boilers are now of a condensing type and are therefore more efficient - saving money for the consumer and helping the effort against global warming. Due to them being the main heat source in the domestic property they should be regularly checked for safety and maintained at least on an annual basis.
The Taylors Group is a specialist boiler installer and as such will always take into account specifications and alterations to an existing boiler system to accomodate a new boiler we are installing. If manufacturers instructions are not followed then this will result in a boiler not working correctly and could result in an unsafe installation.
Boiler repair companies should be equipped with technical data or have access to technical data to be able to perform repairs and maintain the many different types of boilers available. They should also have a quick and easy way to order parts especially if the part is urgent and required the next day. Being able to obtain parts within 24 hours allows the repair companies to provide a quick and hassle free service.
Boiler repair companies should also be punctual for their clients especially if a client is in an at risk situation ie. elderly or sick.
Boiler services will generally cover every aspect of work to do with boilers from installation, servicing, maintenance and sales. Boiler services will also be able to provide advice on boiler models and types, technical information and non biased advice on the various boiler manufacturers products.
BOILER REPAIR SERVICES
Companies dealing with boiler repairs should be punctual, have a knowledge of a wide range of boiler manufacturers and engineers should be competent in undertaking any repair and have access to 24 hour parts and be able to gaurantee and deliver what they promise. They should offer a loyalty scheme or some sort of insurance against large costs on boiler breakdowns. The repair service should also be able to provide 24 hour call out and even if a repair is unable to be made, the engineer should be able to make safe or stop any leaks causing damage.
COMBI BOILER REPAIRS
Repairs to a combination boiler can tend to be more difficult and require a wider range of knowledge due to the amount of controls that are sited within the boiler itself. There are more devices on a combi boiler that there are on a heat only boiler and heating installation.
Unlike heat only boilers, the way combi's are put together and work can be very different from one to another. Through past experiances it is very unlikely when carrying out fault finding that there is only ever one fault and sometimes other faults cannot be found until the first faults are repaired. Parts are slightly more difficult to replace due to their cramped spaces and parts tend to be slightly more expensive. Not all engineers like to work on combi's but once a reasonable amount of time has been spent on them and knowledge has been gained they are relatively easy to work through. The Taylors Group is fully equipped to deal with any boiler in any situation.
