In
addition to this service we can replace any rotten sashes with
exact copies. A complete new box sash can be made to match the old
existing box sash window. |
|
We
can also make and fit a new double-glazed fully weatherproof box
sash window to match the original style. |
|
We can
replace the sashes with acoustic glass in areas of noise pollution. |
|
It is
sometimes possible to replace just the sashes with double-glazed replica
sashes if the box is sound and has enough depth. |
|
Security
screws or stop locks can be fitted to customer's needs. |
|
Many
sash windows in larger houses originally had extra features such as
brass sash pulls, lifting pulleys, cords and brass security catches.
We only use good quality Victorian replica sash catches. |
|
Wooden
shutters were a common feature in larger houses, sadly now often
painted over and forgotten. These can be restored to their former
glory, transforming draughty, rattling sash windows into an attractive
feature. |
